With the “B&B” option you have a room opening onto the terrace and garden and your own shower room. You’ll sleep in perfect peace: nothing, and nobody, will disturb you! We think you’ll also appreciate the vintage embroidered sheets.
Breakfast will be served indoors or outside on the terrace or in the garden, as you wish. In addition to the traditional French breakfast you can enjoy yoghurt, cereals, eggs, cheese, and cold meats. Everything is organic and wherever possible is sourced locally or is ‘fair trade’. Gluten-free / lactose-free / vegan foods are also available.
You can book meals (organic, vegetarian / vegan / gluten free / lactose-free) for the day of your arrival / departure ("table d'hôtes" at our home). Please contact us beforehand.
In the evening, you can enjoy the indoor comfort of the living room in total privacy, or if the weather permits, you can relax outside on the terrace and watch the flights of bats or listen out for the call of barn owls.
You’ll find maps, guides, and a bookcase of French works on the history, architecture, and landscapes of the region so you can prepare your outings or learn more about your discoveries: Grand and its Gallo-Roman mosaic, the Petites Cités de Caractère® such as Bourmont, Vignory, and Joinville, Neufchâteau—one of the 100 Plus Beaux Détours de France®—, the Unesco heritage of Nancy, the spa towns of Vittel and Contrexéville, and much, much more besides!
To help you fill your time around the fire, on the terrace, or just chilling out, you’ll find board games and shelves full of CDs, DVDs, and novels in French, German, English, Swedish, and Italian.
